- Calculating the cost.

- 1. Resilvering charge
- a. Retail - length (inches) x width (inches) x .1389 = Cost (minimum charge $25 per mirror)
- 2. Hazardous waste charge
- 5% of the resilvering charge (minimum charge $1.00)
- 3. Handling charge
- $7.50 (handling includes our unpacking and packing. One handling charge per carton.)
- 4. Return shipping charge
- The return shipping charge will be approximately the amount you are charged to ship to us. However, it usually costs more for the return shipping, since I am shipping your mirror to a residence, whereas you shipped your mirror to a business. I will return your items in the same box and the same way you shipped them to us. Please let us know if you insure your mirror, and the insured value.
Example:
- You have a 20" x 25" mirror and a 8" x 16" to resilver. You will be shipping them in the same carton.
- 1. Resilvering - First mirror: 20" x 25" x .1389 = $69.45. Second mirror: 8" x 16" x .1389 = $17.78. The second mirror is below the minimum, so the charge is $25.00.
- 2. Hazardous waste - 5% x ($69.45 + $25.00) = $4.72
- 3. Handling charge - $7.50

- Auto Mirrors
Rearview and side mirrors cost for one mirror is $40, including return shipping. This assumes a small box is used and the shipping weight is 1lb. or less.
